How Raahi School Transport handles information
Last updated 1 September 2026. This notice describes the information handled by Raahi School Transport when a school uses the service.
Who the service is for
Raahi School Transport is provided to participating schools to manage school transport. Schools authorise the administrators, staff, drivers, vehicle managers, parents and guardians who may use a deployment.
Information the service may process
Depending on the school configuration, Raahi may process school and staff details, account identifiers, student and guardian details, vehicle and route information, stop assignments, weekly plans, trip attendance, operational incidents and journey status. During an active journey, the service may also process vehicle location and the time that location was received.
Google sign-in
When a user chooses Google sign-in, Raahi uses Google to verify identity and may receive basic account information such as the user’s email address, name and profile image as made available by Google. Raahi does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar or other Google account content through this sign-in flow.
Why information is used
Information is used to configure a school’s transport service, plan and operate journeys, show authorised users the status relevant to them, support transport safety and operational follow-up, and protect access to the service.
Access is role based
Raahi is designed around school-approved roles. Parents and guardians see information for children linked to them rather than browsing the school fleet. Drivers and vehicle managers receive the journey information needed for their assigned work. School administrators have broader transport-management access. Location is not intended to be public or available to unrelated users.
Location and live status
Live location is operational and best-effort. Raahi shows whether location information is fresh, stale or unavailable rather than presenting uncertain data as live. Location handling is tied to transport operations and active journeys.
Service providers and security
Raahi may use specialist providers for identity, hosting, application delivery and data infrastructure. Access controls, school-level data boundaries and database security policies are used to restrict access to authorised purposes.
Retention and school control
The participating school controls the operational records it provides and is responsible for its school-side data and permissions. Retention may depend on the school’s deployment, operational needs and applicable obligations. A school may contact Raahi regarding correction, access or removal requests concerning its deployment.
Children and guardians
Raahi is a school-authorised transport service, not a general consumer service directed at children. Student information is handled for school transport operations, and guardian access is limited to children linked by the school.
